Peer Review of Radiology Reports

Peer review of a Radiology report means an assessment of the accuracy of a report by another radiologist. The peer review of reported imaging studies has been advocated as a quality assurance tool to measure and promote good clinical practice. The aims of peer review are to improve patient care by minimizing potential harm, learning from discrepancies, and reducing further discrepancies. Ultimately improving report quality and contributing to the departmental quality assurance (QA) programme. Many of the accreditation authorities have made it a mandatory requirement for accreditation. We identified that in-house peer review is a time-consuming and it will disrupt the Radiologist’s routine workflow.

PROBICS informatics solutions offer a service to perform peer review of your Radiology department’s reports. We are following ACR (American College of Radiology) guidelines to do this service.
